About This Course
Representing a “tech startup” or other venture that will seek outside investment during the early years of its operations offers challenges that attorneys won’t face when representing a traditional small business. Startup founders (also known as “entrepreneurs”) have different personalities, goals and objectives than small business owners, and accordingly will have different needs for legal services.
When working with startups, you will often find yourself as an “outside general counsel” who is expected to be familiar with multiple areas of the law as well as the client’s business environment and corporate culture. In this fast-paced, entertaining CLE presentation, you will learn how to represent the startup venture effectively.
