Nobody is Above the Law: Criminal Procedures Regarding Interrogation, Admissions, and Concession

“Nobody Is Above the Law” is a review of the laws regarding the admissibility of a defendant’s statements in a criminal trial. This CLE lecture reviews the constitutional rights relevant to this subject matter, specifically, the Fifth, Sixth and Fourteenth Amendments. It will also explain Texas law regarding the admissibility of a defendant’s confession and the differences between Texas law and Federal Law in this area.
