About This Course
Diversity and inclusion remain critical priorities within the legal profession, particularly as attorneys navigate increasingly diverse clients, colleagues, juries, and communities. This CLE program explores the role of implicit bias—unconscious attitudes and assumptions that can influence judgment, interactions, and decision-making—and examines its impact on lawyers and the practice of law.
Participants will gain a deeper understanding of how implicit bias may affect areas such as client representation, workplace culture, hiring and promotion practices, attorney wellness, and courtroom advocacy. The course will also provide practical, research-based strategies for recognizing and addressing implicit bias in professional settings. In addition, the program will highlight approaches for fostering a more inclusive, equitable, and respectful legal environment that supports diversity within the profession and enhances the delivery of legal services.
