The National Academy of Continuing Legal Education is an Alabama State Bar Accredited CLE Sponsor (CLE Sponsor #5893). All courses offered by the National Academy of Continuing Legal Education have been directly approved by the Alabama State Bar.

Icon for Question: What are the CLE requirements for Alabama attorneys?

Alabama attorneys must complete 12 CLE credit hours per year by December 31, including at least 1 credit in Ethics. A maximum of 6 hours can be taken using on-demand formats and at least 6 of the hours must be taken in a live format.

Alabama attorneys can earn all 12 CLE credit hours including 1 Ethics with us using our Online, iOS/Android App, and Live Webinar courses.

Icon for Question: Am I allowed to carry over excess credits taken from one compliance period to the next?

Alabama Attorneys can carry-over a maximum of 12.0 CLE credits including 1.0 ethics credit into the next reporting period. Up to 6 hours of On-Demand credits may be carried over.

Icon for Question: How is my MCLE compliance reported once I have completed my courses?

We will report your attendance to the Alabama State Bar within 30 days of your affidavit submission. Your certificate of attendance is your official record and proof of compliance. Your certificates will always be available in your CLE Account.. Attorneys who receive a notice of noncompliance have until February 15th to submit a corrected transcript indicating compliance or submit a deficiency plan with the $100 late compliance fee.
