This CLE presentation will discuss the provisions of the Telephone Consumer Protection Act (“TCPA”) and Florida’s Telephone Solicitation Statute, which regulates communications utilizing automated telephone dialing systems, including text messages to consumers. The presentation will cover the requirements and prohibitions of the use of (ATDS) technology, discuss compliance issues and best practice recommendations, as well as discuss trends in current litigation in this consumer protection area in Florida and nationwide.
