About This Course
Attorneys serving as general counsels or as municipal attorneys are often required by the organization’s governing documents or statues to serve as parliamentarian at regular and annual meetings of their organizations. This course will present the basic rules and guidance for serving in this capacity. The parliamentary authority most cited is of Robert’s Rules of Order, Newly Revised (12th Edition); however, other standard authorities are mentioned where appropriate.
