Although every state’s cannabis laws differ, there are categories within each state’s laws that are consistent. This CLE will introduce you to the basic framework that underlies all state cannabis regulations and will discuss the ways in which states have differed in their approaches.

More specifically, this CLE will provide an overview of licensing regulations, including how medical and adult-use regulation differs, who can get a license, what types of licenses are commonly offered, what a state requires in terms of packaging and labeling, how states restrict advertising and marketing, and how the industry is taxed. This is a great course for lawyers curious about cannabis and how it is regulated.
