About This Course
Cybersecurity and artificial intelligence are now among the most significant risk considerations facing modern organizations, and Generative Artificial Intelligence (GenAI) is rapidly transforming legal practice. While these technologies offer substantial efficiencies and strategic advantages, their misuse or unguarded adoption can expose lawyers and their clients to serious reputational, financial, and legal consequences.
This CLE program examines the intersection of cybersecurity and GenAI through the lens of legal risk and professional responsibility. Participants will explore the benefits and practical applications of GenAI in legal workflows, alongside the ethical, confidentiality, data security, and malpractice risks that arise when these tools are used without appropriate safeguards. The program will also provide a structured risk-mitigation framework to help attorneys evaluate GenAI tools, implement controls, and align technology use with ethical obligations, client expectations, and organizational governance.
