About This Course
This CLE course will look at the evolution of legal ethics in the era of artificial intelligence, cybersecurity, and increasing public scrutiny. It will identify the challenges Lawyers must face in their practice in order to provide competent legal representation while maintain strict adherence to the rules regarding confidentiality, duties of supervision, candor with the court and communication with the client.
This program will specifically look at continued reliance on the Model Rules of Professional Conduct while applying traditional ethical principles to emerging technologies. Finally, there will be an examination of an increasing focus by disciplinary authorities on lawyer competence, candor, and supervision in technology-assisted practice especially in States like New York.
