Jason A. Newfield, Esq.
Jason A. Newfield is the founding partner of Newfield Law Group, P.C., in Melville, New York, where he devotes his practice to representing individuals in disability insurance claims and advocating in litigation, including ERISA, private and association policies of short and long term disability, life and long term care insurance policies.
Mr. Newfield has litigated cases nationwide on behalf of aggrieved claimants and been involved in a host of published decisions in state and federal courts. Jason has received an AV Preeminent rating from Martindale Hubbell and has been selected as a Super Lawyer every year from 2013 to 2025.
He has authored numerous articles for medical journals and advocacy groups, including the CFIDS Chronicle, Interstitial Cystitis Newsletter, Podiatry Management, and Chiropractic Economics. He was a member of the Chronic Fatigue Syndrome Advisory Committee, a federal committee which advises the US Department of Health and Human Services regarding Chronic Fatigue Syndrome.
Mr. Newfield is also a frequent lecturer to medical organizations about the disability claims process, and has been a Physician Educator to medical providers for Chronic Fatigue Syndrome patients. Mr. Newfield has been a repeat invited lecturer for the American Conference Institute Disability Claims conferences, and a speaker for ALI-ABA regarding the claim process for LTD claims.
He received his J.D. from Hofstra University School of Law, where he was a member of the Hofstra Law Review. Mr. Newfield is admitted to practice law in New York, Pennsylvania and Connecticut, the federal courts of the Southern and Eastern Districts of New York, District of Connecticut and Eastern District of Pennsylvania, the Second and Fourth Circuit Courts of Appeal, and the U.S. Supreme Court.
