About This Course
This CLE course is designed for attorneys who are considering adding Social Security disability claimant representation to their practices. Presented by Jonathan Ginsberg, an experienced disability lawyer with over 25 years’ experience representing disability applicants, you will learn how to identify cases with the highest likelihood of success, cases to avoid, the three theories of disability that apply in every case and the time line for a typical case.
Jonathan will discuss recent changes in the Social Security disability hearing process brought about by the coronavirus pandemic.
Attorney Ginsberg also discusses practical considerations - both the positives and negatives of a Social Security practice. He offers suggestions about how to prove your case early on at the administrative level, and later at an administrative law judge hearing. He discusses the attorney’s role and what can be delegated to paralegals, and he provides a list of free and paid resources that will help interested attorneys get started.
