About This Course

This class will expose attorneys to the rules governing how a Federal contract is managed once the parties have finalized the agreement and work begins to supply either the goods purchased or the services provided. Often, once the contract is finalized one or both parties realize that the original specifications need adjustment; this can lead to disputes, either between the parties or from third parties who object to the changes as violating the original solicitation. This can lead to decisions to terminate the contract, either for the convenience of the government (where the government may be liable to pay certain costs to the contractor), or for default by the contractor, which can have adverse repercussions for the contractor. How such disputes are resolved will be addressed in this course.
