Establishing Restitution in Criminal Cases

This CLE course will provide an overview of restitution in Pennsylvania state criminal cases. Restitution is often a primary concern for victims of criminal activity. This course will explain what restitution is (and is not), what an advocate must produce to obtain restitution, what defendant’s counsel can do to protect their client from unwarranted costs, what the limits of restitution are in the Commonwealth, and how collection and distribution works after a sentence is imposed.
