About This Course

While the signing of a contract may indicate a major transaction or commitment, people tend to view them as little more than pieces of paper, easily argued and voided. But the validity of a contract is dependent on myriad elements contained therein.

This CLE course will explain how to assess the validity of a contract either to protect its obligations or attack and invalidate them. The course will explain what constitutes a contract and the elements in must contain, mutual intent requirements, verification and power of attorney for fiduciary obligations, and the various invalidity clauses that may be used to nullify a contract under the law.

*This course qualifies as a Transitional course but can only be taken by Newly Admitted attorneys in NY that have a special exemption from the requirement that skills and ethics credits be taken in an approved live format. This course can be taken by all Experienced NY attorneys.
