About This Course
Fundamental to the ownership of many parcels of land is the easement—the right to use—or control the use of—another piece of land. The presence or absence of an easement may have an enormous effect on the value of the land, whether positive or negative, and whether the easement benefits or burdens the land in question.
This CLE course will examine the ways in which an easement may be created or terminated, and the factors that should be considered in creating or assessing an easement, as well as ways an easement may be created by operation of law. It will also discuss the ways in which an easement may be terminated, either with or without the consent of the easement holder.
