Description

The IDFPR administrates and enforces 59 separate legislative acts that regulate the conduct of many professions and occupations in Illinois. This CLE program will be confined to the Medical Practice Act. The Medical Investigations unit is charged with reviewing complaints against Medical Doctors, Chiropractors, and Doctors of Osteopathy.

The Disciplinary Process begins when the IDFPR becomes aware of a complaint against a licensee. The complaint information is given to an investigator who will review the facts presented and interview pertinent witnesses and ultimately interview the licensee. Eventually the complaint will go through a process which will be discussed today and a resolution will result by settlement or a hearing.
