About This Course
Unexpected, unreimbursed long-term care expenses, be they for cognitive or physical impairments, can have catastrophic effects on a client's personal life, as well as the lifestyle of their spouse and family. Arrangements that clients make or don't make while they are younger and healthy will determine the quality of their lives & their families lives going forward.
This CLE course will discuss what you and your clients need to know about Traditional & the new Combo/Linked insurance plans that combine life insurance, long-term care coverage and various tax benefits.
Then, an Estate Planning, Tax and Elder Law update will be provided by Aaron Futterman, CPA, Esq. including the most recent developments in both elder law and estate planning as well as crisis planning during a medical emergency. In addition, short- and long-term tax implications as well as the latest information on Medicaid planning and the various types of trusts will also be discussed.
Those that plan ahead will avoid having to deal with the financial and legal issues, on top of the medical and emotional issues, thus avoiding a significant family crisis.
