Lecturer Bios

Raj Goel

Raj Goel CISSP is one of the world’s most respected cyber security experts who, over the past two decades has developed a range of highly effective security solutions for the banking, financial services, healthcare and pharmaceutical industries. He is the city’s go-to man on regulations and compliance issues and is a well-known face at security conferences across The US and Canada. Among the many issues he is called to talk on are PCI-DSS, HIPAA, Sarbanes-Oxley and other IT and business issues. He can tailor talks for the needs of his audience and specializes in small-to-medium enterprises with 10-200 employees. But Raj is also sought out by everyone from technologists and policy makers to frontline staff and CEOs. The information in his speeches has taught companies how to grow revenue and profits. And it isn’t just big industry that has had the benefit of Raj’s advice, he also works with hospitals and medical centers in the north-east US helping them to meet HIPAA compliance requirements and use their Health Information Systems (HIS) more effectively. Raj has had articles printed in many publications over the years including Information Security Magazine, Commercial Property News and Entrepreneur Magazine. He has also appeared as an IT security expert on Geraldo, PBS’s Nightly Business Review and the Larry Sharpe Show.

Natalie Sulimani

Natalie Sulimani is the founder of Sulimani Law Firm, PC. She is engaged in a wide variety of intellectual property, technology and general corporate matters with a strong focus on start-ups and entrepreneurs. She has represented both domestic and international clients in an array of industries, including internet and new media, entertainment, jewelry, consulting and the arts. Natalie started her legal career in commercial litigation at one of the top international law firms located in New York City. With this invaluable experience, she then served as in-house counsel at a start-up jewelry company. This company introduced non-conflict Canadian diamonds to the American market. She oversaw the many foreign concerns in the jewelry industry and fully realized the importance of intellectual property in the online world. Working closely with seasoned marketing professionals and members of the jewelry industry, she honed her skills to understand the impact marketing, trademark, copyright and internet law have on building a brand. Since 2004, Natalie has continued to pursue this field through her own practice and brings that knowledge and experience to you. Natalie is Co-Chair of the New York County Lawyers’ Association (NYCLA)’s Cyberspace Law Committee as well as an Executive Committee member of the Corporate Counsel Section of the New York State Bar Association where she is actively involved in the Technology and New Media Subcommittee. Natalie is also frequent speaker and panelist on intellectual property and small business matters. Particularly, she is frequently called upon to speak about Protecting Your Brand Online. She has presented many forums, such as ‘Are you Googling your privacy away?’, ‘Web 2.0: Upgrade your law firm marketing’ and spoken on many panels, including ‘Web marketing and the legal aspects’ and ‘Protecting Your Brand Online’. A firm believer in helping others, Natalie is involved in Pro Bono work through the Legal Counseling Clinic of NYCLA advising in matters of Landlord/Tenant, Bankruptcy, Family Law and Employment as well as Project Restore that offers representation to ex-Felons that have been denied licenses by the Department of State. Natalie has also co-authored an article about internet radio copyright royalty issues in the New York Law Journal that you can read here. Natalie graduated from the University of Manchester at Kiryat Ono, Israel with an LLB. She lives in New York City with her husband and sons. Natalie is admitted to practice in New York and in the Southern District Court of New York.
