About This Course
As technology and capital reshape the legal profession, attorneys face complex ethical questions that demand thoughtful navigation. This CLE program will examine the ethical challenges—and opportunities—presented by two key forces driving change in the practice of law: artificial intelligence and new business structures.
We’ll explore how AI is being integrated into legal workflows, from research to client interaction, and the ethical pitfalls that can arise if these tools are used without appropriate oversight. The program will also address the rise of alternative business structures in states like Utah and Arizona, the influx of private equity and third-party litigation funding, and the implications of these shifts for attorney independence, client loyalty, and the duty of confidentiality.
Attendees will gain insight into current regulatory stances, including the ABA’s position on non-lawyer ownership and profit-sharing, and proposals for reform . Join us for a timely discussion on how legal ethics must evolve in step with innovation.
