About This Course

As the population of elders in the US grows, so does the need to ensure they are cared for and protected by the law. To that end, this CLE course will explain Oregon’s new mandatory elder abuse reporting requirements, which came into effect on January 1, 2015, including the history of elder abuse and its scope. The course will explain the parameters of what constitutes elder abuse, reporting duties and requirements, the process of reporting abuse and issues of confidentiality and attorney client privilege. The course will be presented by Mark M. Williams, an elder law attorney with substantial experience in estate planning, long term care, special needs trusts and all facets of elder law and estate planning.
