About This Course
This CLE program examines practical strategies for managing the attorney-client relationship in family law matters, particularly when clients are experiencing emotional distress. Topics include adapting communication to a client’s emotional state, aligning representation with the client’s goals, identifying emotion-driven decisions that may affect a case, and encouraging full and timely disclosure.
The program also addresses explaining the stages of family law proceedings, defining appropriate staff roles in client communications, and meeting the professional responsibilities imposed by the Rules Regulating The Florida Bar and Florida family law procedure.
