John J. Chitkowski

John J. Chitkowski is the founding attorney of Chitkowski Law Offices with its principal offices located in Lisle. The firm has additional offices in Chicago and New Buffalo, Michigan. He received his B.A. degree from Valparaiso University and his J.D. degree from The John Marshall Law School. He is admitted to practice in the state of Illinois and state of Michigan, as well as the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Illinois (general and trial bar) and the U.S. Court of Appeals. Mr. Chitkowski practices in the areas of business law, construction law, transportation law, corporate law, and real estate litigation and transactions. He is a member of the Chicago, DuPage County and American (member, Construction and Industry Forum) Bar Associations; the American Subcontractors Association; the Construction Industry Affairs Council; Affiliated Subcontractors and Associates; the Fox Valley General Contractors Association; PAMCANI; the Building Trades Association; and the Illinois Trucking Association. Chitkowski Law Offices is a five-member firm representing owners, architects, contractors, subcontractors, suppliers, sureties, common carriers, freight forwarders, transportation brokers, warehousemen, manufacturers and other service-related entities. Mr. Chitkowski has made presentations at seminars concerning legal issues related to construction law, transportation law, business formation and insurance liability.

David J. Lloyd is a member of the law firm of Rohlfing & Oberholtzer. He graduated from the University of Wisconsin with a J.D. degree and from the University of Michigan with a B.S. degree. He is a member of the Chicago and Illinois State Bar Associations, and is active in the CBA’s Construction Law Committee and the ISBA’s Civil Litigation Committee. Mr. Lloyd is an active member of the Chicago Chapter of the Association of Builders and Contractors. He has made presentations at seminars concerning legal issues related to construction law, civil procedure, mechanics’ liens and fee collection. Mr. Lloyd’s practice areas include commercial litigation, mechanics’ liens, construction law, employment litigation and corporate law.

James T. Rohlfing is a principal in the Chicago law firm of Rohlfing & Oberholtzer. Mr. Rohlfing is a construction lawyer and commercial litigation attorney who represents businesses in Illinois, the majority of which are subcontractors. He represents his clients in construction disputes and in working to avoid and resolve such disputes. Mr. Rohlfing also assists his clients in negotiating and drafting contracts, and with all of their business’ legal needs. He has drafted and promoted Illinois laws favorable to the construction industry and worked to promote Illinois legislation on construction issues introduced. He is an active member of the Chicago area Association of Subcontractors and Affiliates and the Chicago Bar Association. Mr. Rohlfing has lectured frequently before construction industry groups on construction law issues.

Justin L. Weisberg is a partner and chair of the Construction Group at the Firm of BryceDowney, LLC. Mr. Weisberg concentrates on construction and design law. He has represented clients regarding numerous issues related to construction design and insurance coverage law. Mr. Weisberg has lectured to a number of professional organizations and engineering societies on construction and design issues. Prior to his career as an attorney, he worked as an engineer focusing in the design and evaluation of various structures. Mr. Weisberg received his undergraduate degree in civil/structural engineering from the University of Illinois and his law degree from Chicago-Kent College of Law, Illinois Institute of Technology. He has achieved the highest rating in the Martindale-Hubbell Law Directory and has been recognized as a Super Lawyer as published by Law and Politics and by Leading Lawyers in the area of construction law.
