Charles B. Bernstein

Charles B. Bernstein, a sole practitioner in Chicago, practices in the areas of real estate, including landlord-tenant law, estate planning, probate, small business and closely held corporations. Mr. Bernstein is admitted to practice in the State of Illinois and before the U.S. Supreme Court. He received his A.B. degree from the University of Chicago and his J.D. degree from the DePaul University College of Law. Mr. Bernstein is listed in Who’s Who in America.

Robert A. Boron

Robert A. Boron practices law in Chicago, concentrating in leasing and real estate matters. Mr. Boron received his B.A. degree in journalism from Drake University and his J.D. degree from DePaul University. He has been in private practice since 1977. Mr. Boron worked both at the Des Moines Register and Tribune and at the Minneapolis Tribune prior to attending law school. He has been writing the “Rental Q & A” advice column in the Sunday real estate section of the Chicago Tribune since 1990. He has appeared on WGN Radio’s “Extension 720” and has been an annual participant in the Chicago Bar Association’s “Annual Law Day” television program. Mr. Boron serves on the board of Northfield School District 225.

Henry Rose

Henry Rose is an associate professor of law at Loyola University Chicago School of Law. He began his legal career as a staff attorney and then managing attorney in the Evanston office of the Cook County Legal Assistance Foundation from 1975 to 1982. At CCLAF, he represented residential tenants and assisted in the drafting of the city of Evanston’s Landlord-Tenant Ordinance. In 1982, Mr. Rose joined the faculty at Loyola, becoming the director of the Loyola University Community Law Center, an academic law clinic that served residential tenants. In 1986, he co-wrote the landmark Chicago Residential Landlord and Tenant Ordinance, which was enacted by the City of Chicago. Currently, Mr. Rose teaches a course in property law, which includes an examination of residential landlord and tenant law.

Robert D. Tepper

Robert D. Tepper is a principal of Schenk, Annes, Brookman & Tepper, Ltd. He has broad experience in commercial and probate litigation, commercial real estate transactions and litigation, bankruptcy litigation and issues pertaining to creditors, insurance policy interpretation and litigation, insurance company professional liability litigation, defense of attorneys, insurance agents and brokers, architects, engineers and other design professionals. Mr. Tepper’s concentration in the real estate area involves management issues, leasing and litigation, focusing on commercial real estate involving shopping centers and commercial buildings and bankruptcy issues. He has achieved the highest rating in the Martindale-Hubbell Law Directory. Mr. Tepper has been a frequent lecturer at local area law schools on the topic of legal ethics. He is admitted to practice in Illinois, the Illinois Supreme Court, the Trial Bar of the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Illinois, and the U.S. Court of Appeals for the 7th Circuit. Mr. Tepper is active in the Chicago Bar Association, and has served on both the Insurance Law Committee and the Bankruptcy Law Committee. He has served as special project coordinator for the Young Lawyer’s Section of the Chicago Bar Association, where he was in charge of Project Outreach, a program to introduce area law students to practical consideration under the rules of professional responsibility. Mr. Tepper has also chaired several seminars for the Young Lawyer’s Section. He is also a member of the Lake County Bar Association and was appointed to serve as a member of the Lake County Juvenile Justice Council. He received a B.A. degree in philosophy from Southern Illinois University and a J.D. degree, with high distinction, from The John Marshall Law School, where he was involved in the gavel society and was elected to the Order of John Marshall.
