Alfie Schloss
Alfie Schloss is a Mortgage Loan Originator Sponsored by American Advisors Group. He specializes in the Home Equity Conversion Mortgage and the AAG Advantage Reverse Mortgage programs. He is licensed in NY, NJ and CT. AAG is licensed nationwide and is the acknowledged leader in the field.
Alfie has been exclusively originating reverse mortgage loans for over fourteen years and is acknowledged as an expert in the field. He has lectured extensively about the HECM program, notably for Marino Institute, The New York County Lawyer’s Association, and The Rockland County Bar Association, to name a few. Since 2004, he has originated hundreds of HECM Loans. Alfie maintains that HECM Loans are not for everyone and believes that they should be done when the borrowers will be the beneficiaries of an improvement to their quality of life as a result. He also believes that borrowers should include their children and other trusted advisors in the decision making process. Alfie is consulted by many financial professionals about the strategic use reverse mortgages in retirement income planning and has implemented such a strategy for himself and his wife.
Alfie is a member of the Financial Planning Association and serves on the board of the FPA Greater Hudson Valley Chapter. Alfie is also currently the Secretary of the Rockland County Estate Planning Council.
Alfie derives great pleasure from helping elder home owners access some of their home equity to enable them to thrive in the place during retirement. Alfie’s mantra is “Quality Of Life Is What It’s All About”.
Kevin McMullen, Esq.
Kevin P. McMullen, Esq. earned his J.D. from St. John’s Law School, Brooklyn, an L.L.M. from NYU Law
School and an M.A. in comparative government and a certificate in international law and diplomacy
from St. John’s, Jamaica. He worked for a firm specializing in trusts and estates and was house counsel
for a small corporation before joining the Marino Bar Review Course and then Marino-Josephson/BRC.
He is now a ghost writer, specializing in law and military affairs. A long-serving reservist, Mr. McMullen
was retired with the rank of lieutenant colonel (infantry) after serving in Germany, Panama and Korea.
He is an honor graduate of the resident course at the United States Army Command and General Staff
College, and he is also an alumnus of the Air Staff College, the Naval War College, the Air War College,
and the Industrial College of the Armed Forces. Mr. McMullen is a long standing NYCLA member and has
served on the Library Committee and International Law Committee.
