About This Course

This CLE course discusses relevant statutory and case law related to the United States Social Security Administration and the Social Security Act as well as two additional notes of recent regulatory change. This course will go over the history of the Nation’s Social Security Program with emphasis on the disability programs and procedures under Titles 2 and 16 of the Social Security Act.

This CLE course will include an explanation of the Social Security disability program’s Five Step sequential evaluation for disability determinations. Mr. Dorf will address another Recent Regulatory change with regard to the filing of disability claims under 20 CFR 404.1520c, which addresses how weight is given to treating medical source opinions. Finally, Mr. Dorf will go over The Social Security Act (42 USC Chapter 7), which demands both a physical and mental adjudication combined with a vocational evaluation and adjudication.
