About This Course
The Patient Protection & Affordable Care Act (PPACA) was perhaps the most full-scale effort to date to increase the availability of health care coverage and services to the broadest population of the American public. Commonly known as Obamacare, the Act radically altered the range of coverage available and how health and medical services were to be applied and administered. As such, a slew of regulations to assess, determine and implement the PPACA were rapidly determined and executed.
This CLE course will review the ramifications of the act on employees and employers, analyze the various regulations, shared responsibility, essential benefits, employer sponsored plans, exchanges, and penalty taxes, reinsurance contributions and stabilization programs, and fees. The course will also explain the reforms on the health care market that the PPACA has initiated in order to universalize the health care system across demographics and populations.
