About This Course
Power of Attorney is a critical component in estate planning. Without a durable power of attorney, there is no guarantee that your wishes will be carried out, and no one to speak on your behalf. This CLE course will explain recent changes as well as amendments to the changes in the laws governing powers of attorney and how they may be implemented effectively. The course will explain the distinction between the old and new POA, review the difference between a power of attorney, principal and agent, the changes that apply retroactively and the requirements of the new short form POA.
