About This Course
You don’t need to be an avid environmentalist to know that we need new sources of clean, safe sources of domestic fuel. Originally hailed as a breakthrough, hydraulic fracturing has since come under close scrutiny and Shale gas, derived from the Marcellus Shale geologic formation, is now subject to tight environmental restrictions.
This cutting edge CLE course, presented by James P. Rigano, outlines the current energy consumption of the US, and the various factors that have made Shale gas a potential resource whose production is economically viable. The course then goes on to explain the potential hazards of Shale gas and the protective measures being taken to combat them. The course will present the various legal issues, both Federal and State with a focus on New York State as well as a detailed and comprehensive explanation of the proposed program.
