Steve is the founder of Masur & Associates, LLC(MasurLaw). MasurLaw is a boutique intellectual property and business law firm serving the media, entertainment and technology industries. We provide direct access to partner-level attorneys, sound business strategy advice and very quick turnaround on mission critical products.
Over the last ten years, MasurLaw has pioneered a wide variety of new revenue models, payment schemes and licensing initiatives which have been widely utilized in entertainment, music, digital media, wireless technology, video games, software, film, TV, fashion, media and publishing. In addition, we establish new business entities, structure financing executive, employment and independent contractor arrangements, handle trademark work and arrange mergers and acquisitions, equity transfers and restructurings. The firm is frequently called upon to advise analysts and venture groups regarding opportunities in the technology, media and entertainment sectors.
Throughout his career, Steve has consistently stayed at the legal forefront of the entertainment, media and technology businesses. Firm clients have ranged from successful new music distribution services, video gaming ideas, digital motion picture plays and wireless services providers to companies with novel business model twists on advertising, publishing, media delivery, software, hardware and licensing. In addition, Steve has written business plans, helped organize, get funded and served on the board of a variety of companies, which created innovative new business models in the entertainment, music and information technology sectors.
Steve received his J.D. from American University in Washington, DC and is a member of the New York and District of Columbia bars. Prior to founding Masur & Associates, LLC, Steve was an attorney at Sabin, Bermant & Gould in New York practicing in the cable TV and corporate areas.
