Accreditation and CLE Rules for Arizona
Attorneys may earn all 15 Arizona CLE credits from the National Academy of Continuing Legal Education. Our Online and CD-Rom media formats satisfy the STATE BAR OF ARIZONA REGULATIONS “Interactive CLE” definition. Alternatively, 5.0 hours of self-study credit may be fulfilled using our Audio CDs. The official regulation can be found on the State Bar of Arizona website at http://www.azbar.org/cleandmcle/mcle.
Approved CLE Formats: CD-ROM or Online access satisfy “Interactive CLE” requirement. Attorneys may use all formats to complete up to 5 self study credits. Written materials must accompany the audiotape, video or online program. Attorney must submit a certified affidavit from each course with the attorney's bar registration. Your annual compliance period is July 1 to June 30 and your affidavits must be postmarked by September 15 of each year to avoid the fees in Rule 45(d). The online electronic affidavit is available in mid-July. The electronic affidavit automatically populates with your name, Bar number, address, and all of your State Bar CLE. You enter any other events. The computations of hours and carryover are made automatically for you. Electronic filing updates your record in real time, and there is no requirement to mail the affidavit. Another option is to print off a blank affidavit from the website, complete and mail it. The third option is the blank affidavit in the Arizona Attorney magazine issued in mid-August.
